Hotel Berlin

In Berlin tourist tax is introduced, and from July 1, from travelers staying at the hotels of the capital of Germany, 5% of the cost of living for each night spent, starting with the first. The tax will be spread not only to hotels, but also hostels and campgrounds.

Tourists coming to Berlin on business trips will be exempt from tax. However, it is not yet clear how they will be separated from ordinary tourists.

According to the plans of local authorities, the new tax will bring about 25 million EUR every year to the city budget.
