One of the most unusual churches in Cologne is built around the place where once the Roman baths were on the Rhine - this is the Romanesque church of St. Martin. An amazingly beautiful structure, perfectly blending into the urban architectural ensemble and landscape, this church was completely destroyed during the last war, and was completely restored by 1960.

Now the interior decoration of the church is very ascetic, devoid of any ornaments, but its external appearance it is simply magnificent, especially in the evening, when the illumination is turned on.
