It's hard to believe that you are in the heart of Germany, looking at the huge sizes of the steel hulks of the Bank Quarter in Frankfurt . The streets of Singapore, Tokyo or, at worst, New York, come to mind an old German city full of beautiful blue-eyed beauties with a traditional foamy in their hands . However, from the former magnificence of the business capital of Germany, nothing remained after the Second World War - the city was almost completely razed to the ground . Later, pedantic Germans managed to restore the cha but the rest of the territory, without hesitation, was decided to be handed over to modern architects - and they did not fail . Today The Bank Quarter in Frankfurt is considered not less of a tourist attraction than, say, the Moscow City or the Paris Defense .
The most the famous building in the Quarter of banks, the skyscraper scraping its roof, is Eurotower, the headquarters of the European Central Bank. Before her, apparently, so that no one is confused, there is a giant EUR symbol blue. On the heels of it come the trihedral skyscraper "Commerzbank-Tower", the first green building in Europe, built according to all the canons of care for nature and the surrounding world.
The most "young" skyscraper here is Opernturm, opposite the opera, from which he received own name. Many heard about the tower Messeturm, which in 1990-1997. It was considered the tallest building in Europe - a solid 256 m of concrete and glass. All these objects not only please the eye of passers-by, but are also quite accessible to the mere mortal. Inside, for the most part, the whole space is given to banks and offices, but tourists can safely glance at each high-rise and will surely stumble upon a bar or restaurant on high floors, from which excellent views of the city open.
But most of the time, of course, tourists visit the "giant" Eurotheum - after all there is a hotel.
Messeturm
Messeturm, or 'Fairground Tower "reaches an impressive 256 meters, is the third highest skyscraper in the European Union. And this is almost the only building in the Quarter of banks, where the entrance to tourists is "ordered" - there simply has nothing to do. But a couple of noteworthy features of this building still have, so you should learn more about it. For example, Messerturm is one of the few buildings in Germany with its own postal code.
The Fair Tower, built in 1990, became a symbol of the economic prosperity of the city, which reminds all Frankfurt residents of the standing sculpture - hammer. Finally, Messeturm easily identifies fans of the SimCity game among the other skyscrapers of the Bank Quarter - it is "represented in all angles" in the fourth part of this simulator.

"Commerzbank-Tower"
The business card of the city is a three-edged skyscraper "Commerzbank-Tower" . The famous architect of England Norman Foster was working on his project, and it is to his light hand that the first "green" high-rise building in Europe is attributed . Surprisingly, this is so - "Commerzbank Tower" is built on all the rules protection and support of the environment . At each level, on each side of the skyscraper, surrounded by a spiral, there are 4-storey gardens . And each of them embodies this or that side of the world and the corresponding flora: from the south of the high-rise flowers of the Mediterranean garden , in the west - North American, and on the east side of the tower - luxuriant vegetation of the Asian garden . Of course, all this magnificence can be seen from the windows of offices, which certainly gives employees pleasant moments of rest after a particularly hard work .

Towers Deutsche Bank
Two towers of the Deutsche Bank, nicknamed "Debit" and "Credit," although they are considered to be twins, but in fact reach a completely different height. Mirror facades of the skyscraper were erected in 1984, but in the late 2000s they underwent a large-scale reconstruction, which was supposed to make them a competitor of the eco-friendly "Commerzbank-Tower", which happened. Today in local toilets rainwater is being drained, energy-saving light bulbs are being used, and the elevator is somehow miraculously recognizing to which floor office workers are being transported.

Main Tower
One of the newcomers to The Frankfurt Bank Quarter is a tower under the "modest" name of the Main Tower. But tourists have a constant demand for it, because there is an observation deck with amazing views of the whole city and the Odenwald mountain range.
The site is located at an altitude of 200 m in the open air. That in bad weather or a strong wind will not give tourists anything pleasant: most likely it will be closed. But their guests will be waiting for an open-air panoramic restaurant in the neighborhood. Amazing views and first-class draft beer are guaranteed
